An Eye for Playful Design : Indre Dabulske

Indre Dabulske first caught our attention on instagram @indre_dabulske with her distinctive take on modern design, playful details and confident use of colour.

Here we get to know Indre a bit more and share some style tips for those who admire her style as much as we do.

1- Tells us about your family and background:

We are a very quirky family of four living in Lithuania, but we spent many years in the UK. Brighton and London played a massive part in shaping our style, our creative energy, and our favorite family memories!

My background is in retail—I worked for many years as a visual merchandiser, manager, and stylist. After my second son was born, I started capturing our moments and style in a cinematic way, letting the images speak for themselves.

My husband Linas steps behind the lens when we travel, and together we have two super active, fun boys: Ben, who is 13, and Fred, who is 2.

2. Your Instagram has such a beautifully considered aesthetic. How would you describe your family’s style ?

Our style is quirky, playful, and fun! It is all about brightening our days and expressing our true personalities through what we wear.

3. Your children always look incredibly stylish without ever seeming over-styled. What’s your secret to achieving that effortless look?

My big secret is mixing things up and having fun with it. My love for galleries and art really helps me when styling the boys, and I love pairing cool, independent brands together to create unique looks. We also rely heavily on accessories. Both of my boys have an amazing collection of different caps and hats that they adore wearing—a great hat instantly makes an outfit feel complete without looking overly dressed up.

4. Your recent photos featuring the new Bobo Choses collection “Monsters” perfectly capture that playful yet effortless style. What was it about this collection that you loved?

We loved the message behind it so much: monsters are all different, and that’s cool, just like humans! Teaching kids to accept everyone as they are and feel free to express themselves is so important.

We always get excited to see what Bobo Choses comes up with every season. I particularly love their quirky knitwear, trousers, jackets, and accessories, and we always make sure to collect their seasonal storybook.

5. Which children’s brands do you return to season after season and why?

Every season we definitely go for Bobo Choses, Tinycottons,The Animals Observatory, Fish & Kids, and Gamin Gamine. They offer that perfect mix of artistic personality and easy, everyday comfort for active kids.

6. Are there any emerging or lesser-known children’s brands you’re excited about right now that deserve more attention?

Yes, we’ve found some fantastic ones lately! We are loving Tiny Colours, Nell, Hippo Parade, and Fille Garçon. We’re also obsessed with New Kids in the House for the coolest caps.

7. Your home is just as inspiring as your wardrobe sense. How would you describe your interiors style, and what tips would you give parents inspired by your look?

Our home is playful, eclectic, and deeply personal. My main tip for other parents is to experiment, mix things up, and make it entirely about you. Play around with accessories, and don't be afraid to bring in bold colors or cool, unusual objects to add character.
