Where Style Meets Splashtime

When you spend your days touring jaw-dropping homes across Los Angeles—from iconic mid-century modern gems to charming, sun-drenched traditionals—you pick up a thing or two about standout design. Just ask Ashley Fultz.

The LA-based real estate agent and mom of two isn’t just helping clients find their dream homes—she’s also got a front-row seat to some of the most creative and beautifully designed spaces in the city. And while kitchens and living rooms often steal the spotlight, Ashley has a soft spot for one often-overlooked space: the bathroom.

“I love seeing how designers bring personality into a room that’s usually all about function,” Ashley says. “Especially in kids’ bathrooms, where you can really have fun with it.”

We asked Ashley to share the top kids' bathroom trends she’s seeing right now—and how designers are transforming these small spaces into something seriously special.

Here’s what she’s loving:

PATTERNED TILES

“One of my favorite trends I am seeing in kids bathrooms are colorful, patterned tiles! It feels really fresh and new and fun! Even if you prefer a neutral timeless bathroom for the kids, you can still pick a pattern tile for the floor that will stand the test of time.”

COLORFUL CABINETS

“I recently saw a dark purple vanity in a kids bathroom in a house I toured and fell in love with the idea. It was both fun and elegant at the same time. It’s a great way to make a statement.”

WHIMSICAL WALLPAPER

“Wallpaper has made a major comeback in the last few years and it’s a great way to add some whimsy to a kid’s bathroom! I love this one because it feels modern and sophisticated, but also age appropriate and cute for kids.”

KITSCHY LIGHTING

‘Lighting is another really easy thing to do to update a kids bathroom on a budget. I am loving all of the kitschy fun wall scones and vanity lights that are playful and colorful.’
