A New Mother’s Guide to Holiday Gifting with Organic Zoo

Wrapped in Calm

With the arrival of my third child earlier this month, still impossibly small, I've found myself approaching the holiday season with a new sense of clarity. Perhaps it’s the quiet confidence that comes with mothering for the third time, or simply the sharpened awareness that babies outgrow everything far too quickly. But as the festive rush begins to build, I’m trying to be intentional about the gifts I choose for my own children, and just as mindful when picking presents for friends’ babies.

Between the toy cars, flashing plastic dolls, and clothes that lose their shape after one wash, it’s all too easy to end up with things that barely make it to spring before becoming clutter. With this being my newborn’s very first holiday season, I’ve been determined to avoid the cycle of cheap, short-lived gifts that eventually end up forgotten about in the back of a closet.

The Organic Zoo Pieces Defining Our Season

Organic Zoo describes their philosophy as “the joy of living with less.” Their entire collection is made from 100% organic fibers, with a natural, earthy color palette that feels both calming and incredibly chic. And in a year defined by welcoming new life, that balance of simplicity, beauty, and purpose is exactly what I want to give (and receive) this season.

A Guide to Gifting with Organic Zoo

For those who want gifting made effortless, their curated gift sets bring together thoughtfully chosen essentials: soft organic layers, tiny booties, or a cuddly companion—items that feel like heirlooms from the moment they’re unwrapped. These are a few of my favorites:

  • The Stripes Base Layer Set. has already become a daily uniform for my newborn. Paired with the matching Stripes Bonnet, it creates an effortlessly classic look that feels almost editorial in baby form: simple, photogenic, and seasonless.

  • Their iconic Clover Print feels equally timeless. There’s something poetic about dressing a new baby in tiny clovers: a small, symbolic wish for luck and gentleness in their earliest months. The soft green tone manages to be both whimsical and impossibly chic.

  • For colder days, the Wool Sets are a dream—luxurious yet practical, making them perfect for winter outings and those inevitable outdoor holiday photos. The texture photographs beautifully, and more importantly, it keeps little bodies warm without overheating. Made in Italian wool.

  • And then, of course, there are the soft toys. Organic Zoo’s plush creatures, made from natural materials, have the charm of European atelier design—quiet, endearing, and effortlessly giftable.
