Pierrot Studio: Hand Painted Furniture Made for Childhood Magic

Pierrot is a British children’s furniture brand created to inspire creativity and celebrate the joy, imagination, and adventure of childhood. Every Pierrot piece is hand painted and personalised in their studio in Sussex, England, resulting in furniture and accessories that are as unique as the children they are made for.

The idea for Pierrot was born during nap times, when acclaimed decorative artist Tess Newall painted a small chair for her son. With a deep love of storytelling and a firm belief that children’s furniture deserves to be just as beautiful and thoughtfully made as adult pieces, Tess created what would become the very first Circus Chair. That original chair is still used every day, carried from room to room, filled with memories and meaning.

From that first hand painted piece, Pierrot quickly captured the hearts of parents, grandparents, and godparents searching for truly special gifts. Each creation is designed to be cherished for a lifetime, becoming part of daily rituals, imaginative play, and family stories passed down through generations.

Pierrot’s designs are intentionally timeless, and there is great care taken to make every piece personal. Families can choose to Design Your Own chair or commission a One of a Kind piece, ensuring that no two creations are ever the same. The collection includes hand painted chairs, tables, name plaques, and hairbrushes, all crafted with the same attention to detail and love of artistry.
