We Tried the ZIIP Halo: Here's Why It's a Beauty Must-Have for Busy Mums
In my twenties and early thirties, I never really thought much about skincare. My routine was simple, I slept well, and I generally looked as fresh as I felt.
Then my late thirties and forties arrived. I started noticing that I looked tired even when I wasn't. Frown lines seemed to appear overnight, bunny lines around my nose became more noticeable, and my face looked a little less lifted. Like many women, I wasn't necessarily looking younger – I just wanted to look more like myself again.
That's what led me to try the ZIIP Halo. It first came onto my radar through friends whose recommendations I genuinely trust – editors Charlotte Kewley & Carly Glendinning and my colleague at work, Pip Amstell. They all seemed to be getting great results, looking fresher and more rested without having changed anything dramatic, so eventually my curiosity got the better of me.
I'll admit I was sceptical at first. There are so many beauty devices promising miraculous results that it's hard to know what actually works. But after using the ZIIP Halo consistently, I began to notice subtle but meaningful changes. My face looked more sculpted and my skin felt firmer, and more vibrant even after the very first try.
ZIIP Conductive Discovery Gel Set $99.99
Gels made mini. Each gel includes chemist-selected active ingredients. Golden (supports collagen to firm and smooth the skin), Silver (Brightens and intensely hydrates skin), and Crystal Gel (Evens, soothes and protects skin whilst also boosting glow).
As a busy working mum, I also appreciate that the ZIIP Halo treatments take just a few minutes (There is a pre-programmed 4 mn treatment and several more on their app). This makes it easy to fit around real life. No appointments, no complicated routines.
One thing I wasn't expecting to love quite so much was the design itself. The ZIIP Halo is beautifully made – it has that same satisfying, premium feel you get when you pick up a new Apple device. It's compact, intuitive and arrives charged and ready to use, which somehow makes it feel less like another beauty gadget and more like something you'll genuinely incorporate into your routine.
It's also become a travel essential for me. Because it's so small, it slips easily into a handbag or carry-on, and I've taken it on several trips as my secret weapon against travel puffiness and tired-looking skin. Whether it's an early flight, a late night or simply one too many hours spent travelling, I love being able to spend a few minutes with the device and arrive looking a little more refreshed and a little less jet-lagged.
The Verdict
Several friends of mine have now tried the ZIIP Halo, ranging from busy mums in their thirties to women navigating their fifties, and the feedback has been remarkably similar. The common thread isn't that they suddenly looked ten years younger; it's that they looked less tired, more radiant and more confident in their skin.
For me, that's what makes the ZIIP Halo worth it. It's become one of those rare beauty tools that has earned a permanent place in my routine because the results feel natural, achievable and, most importantly, like me on a good day.

Editor Carly Glendinning @carlyglendinning “I use my ZIIP Halo to give me fresh, glowy skin - as if I’ve had a really good night’s sleep and drank gallons of water. I especially love the lip treatment. I find that really plumps them up! It’s such a good device, so easy to use, and has made a real difference to my skincare routine.”
Disclosure: I received the ZIIP Halo as a PR gift. As always, all thoughts and opinions are my own, and I only feature products that I genuinely enjoy using and would happily recommend to a friend. Maryline Price -The Mini Style Post
